About Stefano's Workshop
The focus of the workshop is the use of the body and the voice as tools for communication and collective music production. All the body music activities we develop in the workshop go through progressive levels of difficulty, and are designed to offer a sheltered environment for personal and collective growth. Enjoyment and relating with others are fundamental elements of every activity because without these, deep learning would not be possible.
Through Body Music, we can develop our sense of rhythm, building original patterns or playing rhythms from all around the world, as well as developing our ability to listen to ourselves and to others, and work both on our voice in coordination with our body voice. At the same time, we can develop various skills that are not directly related to the musical aspect such as bodily coordination, concentration, memory, language, spatial orientation, working on all the various types of intelligence (in keeping with Gardner’s classification of multiple intelligences): Musical, Kinaesthetic, Linguistic, Logical / mathematical, Visual / spatial, intrapersonal and interpersonal.
